Denise's love of animals began as a child taking in stray cats that would show up in her neighborhood which of course drove her parents nuts. Then as an adult she was a kennel attendant for over ten years at a private boarding facility in North Hilton. Denise shares a home in Gates, NY with two teenage boys (Justin and Logan), her fiancé, Robert, two dogs (Max & Millie), two cats (Toothless & Ninja) and a yellow-bellied slider turtle (Mr. Turd). When not working or traveling to her oldest son’s soccer games, her “therapy” includes smooth water kayaking, bike riding on the canal, hiking in the woods, walking and playing with the dogs and reading a good mystery suspense novel.
