Clinic & Lodge Attendant

You will provide care for dogs at our kennel, as well as assist in therapy appointments. Duties include but are not limited to; feed, walk, medicate, enrichment activities, run the underwater treadmill and HAKO whirlpool, feline and canine restraint, and learn to monitor the condition of patients and report/record any problems. Cleaning and disinfecting of all patient-care areas is included. We pride ourselves on providing the highest standard of care to all pets, specializing in special needs dogs recovering from surgery, or with other physical challenges.

Reception

You will communicate with clients, as requested, clearly and accurately regarding their boarding and/or therapy. Other responsibilities include greeting clients and patients, answering phones, scheduling and confirming appointments, checking in and invoicing clients, faxing and emailing records, and assisting doctors with office tasks they need done. Also, taking responsibility for the attractiveness of reception and adjacent areas, arrange retail, and suggest improvements. We are looking for someone with a strong desire to learn and who will accept responsibility proactively. You must be comfortable working around all types of animals including cats and dogs.

Boarding Manager

To be able to take advantage of this very special opportunity you must have both the vision and the specific background to help us double the business without losing the customer service ethic that we have nurtured so carefully over the years.  Duties include but are not limited to: Perform end-of-shift walk-throughs to ensure all standards of care have been met and that all job tasks have been completed, handling and restraint of aggressive animals, maintain inventory of all cleaning supplies and boarding facility equipment, create the work schedules for kennel attendants, including finding coverage or working a shift yourself when someone is absent, develop and implement a staff training program for new hires and conduct 30- and 90-day reviews, and help create an environment of teamwork and respect.

You will supervise a staff of 8-10 kennel staff w/responsibilities to include: Exercising (walks, trail walks, and group/individual pasture play), Assist in cleaning, stocking, and maintenance of kennel areas, and some clinic areas, preparing and distributing diets as instructed by owners, medication preparation and administration, assisting doctors and technicians as needed, proper animal restraint, supervise play groups of pets, learn and perform exercises for dogs with special needs.
