Robin started with Thera-Vet Acres in September as our part-time receptionist. Robin has had a passion for animals her whole life, bringing home many strays and injured babies, from snails to baby birds. Growing up she was surrounded by all different kinds of dogs, parrots, fish, bearded dragons, snakes, tarantulas, geckos, hamsters, and rabbits. As an adult, she fell in love with cats and currently has 3, her old man Casper, and two young whippersnappers, Gracie and Ollie. Also sharing her house is a bearded dragon, Sophie, and 2 Pittie mixes, Jazzy and Freddie. Robin has 3 awesome daughters and the best granddaughter on the planet!
Robin has worked at different animal hospitals, off and on, for over 25 years, in different capacities. Robin initially was trained as a vet assistant, learning about everything from running anesthesia to developing x-rays, from fecal samples to filing, dental cleanings to cleaning cages, and everything in between. During that time, she survived two bad car accidents that unfortunately left her with some physical disabilities, and chronic pain, that meant when she was able to work again, she had to switch to part-time and “easier” work. Since her passion of wanting to work with animals never waned, Robin switched to becoming a Receptionist and has ADORED being a part of teams who dedicate themselves to helping fur-babies and their families. She is excited to be a small part of Thera-Vet’s continued growth and commitment to excellent pet care. 😊
